MAY 2024 UNCLAIMED FUNDS PUBLICATION
Find below our Publication of our Notice of Unclaimed Monies which was published in the Inyo Register on May 2, 2024 and May 9, 2024. To file a claim, please review the instructions and fill out the form, both found below. All claims must be filed no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2024. Forms must be Notarized if submitted through the mail. If you choose to bring your form to our Independence office, and bring with you your valid California State I.D. the form will not need to be notarized.
EXCESS PROCEEDS 2024 PUBLICATION
Please find below our Notice Of Right To Claim Excess Proceeds, which was published in the Inyo Register May 16, 23, and 30, 2024. These Excess Proceeds resulted from our sale of tax-defaulted properties on February 29, and May 1, 2024. Please review both the publication and the Claim Rules, before filing a Claim Form, which can all be found below. Claims filed with the County more than one year after recordation of the Tax Collector’s deed to the purchaser on March 13, 2024, for the sale conducted February 29, 2024 and May 13, 2024 for the sale conducted May 1, 2024, cannot be considered.
